The WORD in other words (2006) by An Pink Sister – Sister Servant of the Holy Spirit of Perpetual Adoration (SSpSAP)
Thursday 3rd Week of Easter
Introduction
P-P-P — what does it stand for? For a good friend and benefactor, it means “Pink-Prayer-Power.” She uses it whenever she has urgent intentions and prayer requests. The Lord often rewards her simple and strong faith, to her great joy and ours. Faith in Jesus, our Eucharistic Lord, is faith in the Father and in the Holy Spirit.
The Bread of Life
Jesus, the living Bread from heaven, promises us eternal life. “I will not reject anyone who comes to me” (John 6:37). He is Truth Himself, and in Him is the fullness of Trinitarian love:
- The creative love of the Father,
- The redemptive love of Jesus Christ, the God-Man,
- The transforming love of the Holy Spirit.
Our whole life is centered in the Eucharist, from which we draw strength to fulfill our mission through faith-filled adoration, loving contemplation, and fervent intercession to Jesus Christ, our Emmanuel — God-with-us and among us. In communion with Him, nourished by His flesh and blood, we share in His saving mission for the life of the world. Eternal life is to know, believe, love, and be united with Christ, truly and substantially present in the Blessed Sacrament.
The Other P-P-P
But there is another P-P-P: Power-Prestige-Popularity. This is the “daily bread” of the world — insatiable, restless, competitive, always seeking more comfort, convenience, and leisure. It leaves people disconnected and unsatisfied. Choosing this path means leaving the narrow road of humility, sacrifice, and self-denial, and instead walking the highway of self-indulgence. That bread nourishes selfish ambition and leads to perdition.
The Call to Return
GO BACK TO CHRIST — the Bread of Life! He alone can satisfy the longing heart for joy, love, peace, and union. He waits for us with open arms, ready to enfold us in His Sacred Heart.
Let our prayer be: “Live, my Jesus, live in me, that all I do be done by You; that all I think and all I say, be Your thoughts and words this day.”
