Solemnity of Mary, Holy Mother of God – January 1
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Before we begin our journey in (2022) 2024, let us take one last look at the Belen, the Nativity scene, to remind us of what we need to bring along.
Let us journey with the Baby Jesus, and be reminded that HE IS WITH US ALWAYS. Emmanuel!
Let us journey with Mama Mary, a woman of PRAYER, who prayed and listened to God, who “kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart,” together with Joseph, the man who OBEYED GOD’S WILL. Let the Magi remind us to be GENEROUS with our time, talents, and treasures.
Let us also journey with the angels who proclaimed HOPE and JOY, and like the simple and humble shepherds, let us walk the year ahead of us with FAITH in God and HUMILITY towards one another.
And of course, let us not forget the main character of it all – the God who, out of LOVE for us, gave us his only begotten Son. Yes, let us journey this year with love, lots of love.
What will this New Year bring? It really depends on what you will bring along with you in the New Year.
Let’s journey with the Lord who is always with us and bring along with us prayer, obedience, generosity, hope, joy, faith, humility, and lots of love throughout 2022.
