Wednesday 24th Week in Ordinary Time
“Birds of the same feather flock together.”
But what if they are of different colors?
They reject each other or fight with each other.
The reason? They are of different colors.
Maybe it is human nature that we insist on the others to be the same like us.
The other should have our colors.
Maybe we really see the world by the color of our spectacles.
Maybe it is the blindness that does not see beyond the self.
It is said: “We do not see things as they are. We see things as we are!”
There is so much wonder in this world that we do not see.
There are so many miracles in the other that we do not appreciate.
This is because we only want our own flock and feather color.
The Good News may come to us in what appears to be a lunatic, a glutton or a drunkard.
We pray for the openness to see. We pray for conversion.
