The WORD in other words (2006) by Father Jerry Orbos SVD – Christ the King Seminary, Quezon City
Memorial of our Lady of Sorrows – September 15
After we buried our father in June 27, 1987, I made a promise to him on his grave that I will take care and look after Mama. In all humility, I can say that I have been faithful to that promise, with God’s grace and help. I know deep in my heart that Papa is grateful and happy where he is right now, knowing that Mama is well taken care of.
But my care for Mama is little compared to her care and love for me.
And my love to the Blessed Mother is nothing compared to the unconditional love she has for me.
This moment, listen with me her loving message:
“I am here. I’m your mother. Do not fear. I am near!”
Listen further to her personal message of love:
“I am with you when you wake up in the morning. Through the whole day, till evening comes again! I am with you in your works and undertakings, in your journeys, in your joys and in your songs! There’ll be problems. There’ll be pain and persecutions. There’ll be problems, but be joyful and be strong! When in danger, call my name and I’ll come running. If you fall down, take my hand, I’ll help you stand! Yes, I am here. I’m your mother. Do not fear. I am near!”
